The Doctoral Program in Water, Sustainability and Development is part of one of the strategic guidelines of the Campus of Water (Agreement of the Council of the Xunta de Galicia of November 21, 2013, which authorizes the beginning of the specialization process of the University of Vigo, of the Campus of the Water in the campus of Ourense and Protocol of collaboration between the Xunta of Galicia and the University of Vigo for the implantation and development of the Strategic Plan, of 14 March 2014). The program takes into account the six areas of specialization that it brings together - Water Management, Social and Educational Innovation, Environment, ICT, Tourism-Cultural Heritage and Food - and which are integrated into three thematic blocks of research: water, sustainability and development.

Admission criteria

The admission of students in the doctoral program will be carried out by the academic committee. The student must provide the CAPD with all the necessary documentation to enroll.

Admission requirements are not established in doctoral studies other than those listed in the previous section.

In addition, it will only be necessary to justify a B1 level of English language proficiency.

If necessary, among the candidates who meet these access conditions, the CAPD will make a selection based on the average grade of their academic record weighted with the average of the degree.
