The main objective of this Degree in Social Education is to train professionals capable of creating educational contexts and mediating actions that allow the incorporation of the target people into various social networks, as well as their cultural and social promotion through socio-educational actions, both preventive and intervention.

Professional opportunities:

  • Non-formal education: animation of extracurricular activities, education for leisure and free time, civic education, environmental education and interpretation, education for health.
  • Adult education: literacy teaching, lifelong learning, third age pedagogy, occupational training, continuing education, preparation for retirement.
  • Social and labour animation: social and labour insertion, information and orientation for employment, preparation for retirement, continuous training plans, training and labour orientation.
  • Socio-cultural animation: social and cultural tourism, youth tourism, education in the street, promotion of social participation associations, youth information and dynamisation, cultural management, community development.
  • Socio-educational action: community care, study of new technologies and their educational application, specialised education, family education, socio-educational intervention, primary care social services, penal services, family information and planning services, social dynamisation and awareness raising.
  • Social insertion: prevention and treatment in drug addictions, prevention and intervention with groups at risk of social exclusion, protection and guardianship of minors; services of protection and social assistance, services of juvenile justice measures, prevention and gender-based violence intervention.
