Admission Requirements
Likewise, access will be granted to those who fall under any of the following categories:
- Applicants must hold official Spanish university degrees or equivalent Spanish qualifications, provided they have completed at least 300 ECTS credits across all their studies and demonstrate a Level 3 qualification within the Spanish Framework for Higher Education Qualifications. Students with a Spanish Master's degree and a non-Spanish Bachelor's degree may be admitted to doctoral studies even if they have not achieved the required 300 ECTS credits or five years of combined official university studies.
- Students holding a degree obtained under a foreign education system belonging to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) may apply for admission to doctoral studies provided they can demonstrate a level 7 qualification within the European Qualifications Framework, without requiring official recognition of their degree, and provided that the degree qualifies them for admission to doctoral studies in the country where it was awarded. This admission will not, under any circumstances, imply official recognition of the applicant's prior degree or its recognition for any purpose other than admission to doctoral studies.
- Students holding a degree obtained under a foreign educational system outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) may apply for admission to doctoral studies without the need for official recognition of their degree, provided the University of Vigo verifies that their qualification certifies a level of education equivalent to that of the official Spanish Master's degree that qualifies them for doctoral studies in the country where the degree was awarded. This admission will not, under any circumstances, imply official recognition of the applicant's prior degree or its recognition for any purpose other than admission to doctoral studies.
- To hold another Doctoral degree.
- University graduates who have obtained a place in training through the corresponding entrance exam for specialized health training positions, and who have successfully completed at least two years of training in a program to obtain the official title of one of the specialties in Health Sciences, will also be eligible.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
