The Degree in Geography and History has a multidisciplinary and multipurpose character that enables a wide range of professional opportunities such as educational services, administration services or the media.

This degree acquires a unique character that differentiates it from the usual dynamic that involves the separation into three specialised degrees in History, History of Art and Geography. Our training offer includes History, Art History and Geography subjects that provide a basic training to understand the past and the present, to know the territory and to obtain certain skills (critical spirit, ability to synthesise or search for information).

Another circumstance to highlight is the possibility of studying the Degree in Geography and History through the blended mode, in which the student only has to attend the evaluation tests, with the advantage of accessing the teaching material through a platform and the possibility of attending the classes that he/she wishes to attend.

Professional opportunities:

  • Secondary Education Teachers: the training in three areas (History, History of Art and Geography) coincides with the subject matter required for the competitive examinations.
  • Historical and cultural heritage management: the tourism sector is considered strategic in both the public and private sectors.
  • Documentalist: In archives and other entities, specialists are required to organise documentation.
  • Museums and libraries.
  • Archaeological activities.
  • Organisation and development of cultural events: highly topical activities that must achieve the required level of rigour.
  • Management of cultural institutions: through the knowledge of the objects housed in them.
  • Design of material and content for cultural websites and educational applications.
  • Media consultancy.
