The Graduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence provides the broad, in-depth and multidisciplinary training that professionals in this field need and that is essential to successfully build the intelligent services and applications that are having such a significant impact on our lives at all levels.

This is an interuniversity degree in the University System of Galicia, of 4 years (240 ECTS), in which the subjects of the first two years are common to the three universities (A Coruña, Santiago and Vigo). In the 3rd and 4th years, at the University of Vigo we develop the orientation in Intelligent Information Systems (SII).

The Intelligent Information Systems itinerary of the Artificial Intelligence Degree at UVigo is aimed at students interested in acquiring a professional profile that enables them to automatically and securely exploit information flows, whatever their format, typology, dimension and complexity. The objective is to satisfy the requirements of all types of entities at this level, both in the field of management and decision-making, by designing solutions focused on the application and integration of AI strategies. It is therefore not only about locating existing data for immediate processing in a purely transformational strategy, but fundamentally about deriving new information that provides a significant competitive advantage in the application domain.

In this itinerary, the future graduate will acquire a profile that will enable him or her to design, develop and apply techniques and technologies based on learning and automatic reasoning, Big Data, natural language processing, and real-time interaction and perception for the development of SII.

In short, the training received will allow the student to face the new challenges posed by the Information Society in terms of strategic, tactical and operational decision support. They will thus have the opportunity to learn about and exploit some of the newest and most potential fields in AI, such as massive data processing, language industries, IoT, behavior-based systems or cybersecurity.
