The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development established three specific goals related to the field of energy: to ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services, to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the energy matrix and to double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency. Already today, Spain is a world reference in the use of renewable energy sources, with companies that not only supply the domestic market, but also dedicate a very significant part of their production to foreign buyers.

In this context, Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering meets the numerous and complex technological challenges that arise in the energy sector.

This degree, which does not qualify students for a regulated profession, aims to provide adequate, high-level training to future professionals who will work in the field of energy process engineering, from energy generation to its different applications. It also provides the necessary training to develop efficient and sustainable technologies and systems. Training in two areas is particularly relevant:

Renewable generation technologies (wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, tidal, solar, wave, biomass and biofuels, among others).

Analysis associated with energy efficiency, consistent with the objectives set out in the 2030 Agenda.

Therefore, the training is necessarily multidisciplinary and with an overall vision, which takes into account, fundamentally, technical and economic aspects, and addresses issues related to energy efficiency, energy production technologies, with special emphasis on new renewable energy sources, storage, transport and distribution systems, energy markets, etc. All this with the commitment to respect the environment and sustainable growth.
