Access requirements

In accordance with the provisions of article 16 of RD 1393/2007, in order to access official master's degrees, it will be necessary to:

  • Be in possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area. (EHEA) that authorize in the issuing country of the degree for access to master's degrees.
  • Likewise, graduates from educational systems outside the EHEA will be able to access without the need for homologation of their degrees., after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they authorize access to postgraduate education in the country that issued the degree. Access through this route will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree held by the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the master's degree.
  • There are no access criteria other than those derived from the limitation of places for new entrants and those established by current legislation for master's degrees. In this regard, it should be remembered that the number of places offered by the MAiE is 25.
