Admission criteria
The degree is designed to train qualified professionals in this industrial field and to allow the sector to equip itself with technologists specialized in the conservation of seafood.
Once pre-registration has taken place, the selection and admission of students to the master's degree will be carried out by the Master's Academic Academic Committees (see below). Each application will be evaluated on the basis of the following information, which must accompany the application for admission:
CURRICULUM VITAE (UP TO 90% OF THE GRADE):
  • Academic record (up to 65% of the CV). The following are the preferred access profiles:

           - Degree / Degree in Biology or Marine Sciences (Grade: average grade x 1).

           - Degree / Degree in other degrees in the major areas of Science or Health Sciences (Grade: average grade x 0.5).

  • Research Experience in Biology (up to 15% of the CV). Collaboration in research projects, in oceanographic campaigns, scientific publications, communications to conferences and research stays, all of which must be merits not previously counted in the academic transcript.
  • Professional Experience related to Biology (up to 15% of the CV). Internships in companies or institutions, not previously included in the academic transcript. Contracts in companies and institutions.
  • Other merits (up to 5% of the CV). Various training merits will be considered, such as courses, scholarships, attendance of cycles and conferences, awards, languages, other qualifications, and other merits that the applicant deems appropriate to provide.
LETTERS OF INTEREST (UP TO 10% OF THE GRADE):
  • Personal declaration of interest in the master's degree (up to 5% of the mark). Free text with a minimum length of 200 words.
  • Letter of recommendation (up to 5% of the grade). Written reference and student support, preferably issued by a former teacher of the same.
Optionally, a personal interview will be conducted (in person and / or via video conference or email). The aim of this interview is to assess the interest of the applicant student in the master's degree, clarify any doubts in the documentation or merits provided and allow the tiebreaker between several candidates.
In any case, the special educational needs of students due to their disability will be taken into account.
