Degree in Early Childhood Education (Ourense Campus)

The aim of this Degree in Early Childhood Education is to ensure the pedagogical, psychological, linguistic, sociological, scientific, technological and artistic training of future early childhood education teachers (0-6 years).

Professional skills:

• Assistance: attention to individual demands or groups related to social needs; guidance, information and advice on social rights and resources of society; organisation and management of social services; support and advice services to the general population and specific groups.
• Prevention, promotion of situations of social injustice that prevent the appearance of social problems and deficiencies and that promote human rights.
• Social incorporation: in any population in a situation of vulnerability or social exclusion.
• Supervision: of teams and services.
• Teaching and social research: in relation to social problems object of intervention; analysis and intervention in the social field (nature, dimension and priorities, problems and shortages, strengths etc.); research and analysis of the conditioning factors of social welfare.
• Mediation: family, social, community mediation.
• Management, direction of services, social programmes and human resources.
• Planning, evaluation of programmes and services.
• Coordination with other professionals, administrations and resources.
