The Master's Degree for Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, as its title indicates, is a purely professionalising Master's Degree. This professionalization is centred on the field of "Education" and, within this field, on Initial Teacher Training, i.e. teaching.

Secondary and Baccalaureate teachers come to this master's degree with a degree in a specific discipline and therefore with the capacity to enter the professional market in that field (Chemistry, Law, History, etc.). The importance of the Master's degree that we are designing is that it will train students in a restricted field of activity: teaching (educational institutions) and, therefore, we must train students in specific skills to work as "professionals in secondary education and baccalaureate".

It is the responsibility of the Universidade de Vigo to organise this master's degree in order to respond to this need and to carry out adequate planning to meet the scientific and professional requirements of society and, last but not least, for the graduates of the Universidade de Vigo and the Autonomous Community of Galicia.
