The interest of the Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatic Engineering is determined by the characteristics of the two basic subjects that constitute it Automatics and Industrial Electronics. These subjects have driven an important change in economic activity due to the greater presence of automation and intelligence in processes and products, which are becoming increasingly complex, based on computing and communications. Nowadays it is not possible to conceive a production line without a high degree of automation and a management through computerised methods and integrated at various levels.

Current products and systems tend towards greater functionality and precision, based on the integration of computer components, sensors and microelectronics. This is the field of action of the Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering.

Career opportunities:

  • Design, analysis, integration and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment and automated industrial installations and machinery automation.
  • Management and commercial organisation of electronic and/or automatic and/or computer products and systems companies.
  • Direction and management of R&D projects in: automation, industrial communications, transport (railway, aircraft, automotive), renewable energies and automated electronic systems in medicine and demotics.
