The idea arose in response to the growing demand for specialists in an industrial field of great importance in our society.

Admission criteria

The degree is designed to train qualified professionals within this industrial field and to allow the sector to equip itself with technologists specialized in the conservation of seafood and aquaculture.

Once pre-registration has been completed, the selection and admission of students to the master's degree will be carried out by the University Academic Commission for the Master's degree. Evaluating each application based on the following information, which must accompany the application for admission.

The selection of students will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the regulations of the University of Vigo, and using the following specific assessment criteria:

  • Degree related to the field of the degree, preferably:
  • Food Science and Technology, Biology, Marine Sciences, Chemistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and different branches of Engineering .
  • Academic record, determining the average grade by the regular procedure in Spain.
  • Curriculum vitae and its adaptation to the field of the degree (including professional experience).
  • Professional experience in the field of the seafood conservation industry and related sectors.
  • Personal interview.

This assessment will be carried out by the Master's Academic Committee, after verification by the administrative units that the applicants meet the access requirements.

If there are free places, students from other degrees than those established in the quotas will be accepted and in that case it will be the Academic Committee that assesses their admission.
