This Doctoral Program in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology aims to train researchers in the areas of Basic and Applied Neuroscience, Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry, prioritizing interdisciplinarity. With this perspective, the program includes researchers assigned to different areas of knowledge in the fields of Neurobiology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical and Health Psychology and Psychiatry. It is an interuniversity program, organized jointly by the Universities of Santiago de Compostela (which coordinates it), A Coruña and Vigo. The aim is to provide technical training and specific knowledge for research in these areas and to provide a framework for the interrelationship between doctoral students linked to them. It aims to promote an integrative scientific space of a multidisciplinary nature, which addresses the study of the brain from the morphological, structural, functional, computational and developmental point of view, in addition to its reciprocal relationship with psychosocial variables.

Admission

The following master's degrees give direct access to the Doctoral Program in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology:

  • Interuniversity Master in Neuroscience from the Universities of Santiago, A Coruña and Vigo
  • Master's Degree in Research in Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology from USC
  • Master's Degree in General Health Psychology from USC

Graduates in other master's degrees in Neuroscience, Clinical and Health Psychology, Psychiatry or others in the biomedical field will also be able to access, as well as people with two years (positively evaluated) of specialized health training in areas related to the master's degree (Psychology -PIR-, Psychiatry, Neurology -MIR-, ...).
