1.    About the program and its main topics

The Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Teaching/Arabic Language Curriculum and Teaching is a natural extension of the Master's program in Arabic Language Methods accredited at the University of Jordan for years, and this program came to meet the need of national, Arab and international educational institutions to build qualified human resources in the Arabic language curricula and teach them according to the latest methods of learning and teaching, and taking into account the technical and communication developments in this field. This specialization includes: designing and developing language curricula, a seminar on teaching speaking and listening, a seminar on teaching reading and writing, a seminar on grammar and rhetoric and teaching them, a research seminar in language curricula and teaching, and others in this field and internationally.

It is worth mentioning that the Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Teaching / Arabic Language Curriculum and Teaching program emerged from the PhD program in Curriculum and Teaching at the College of Educational Sciences along with other programs (English Language Curriculum, Social Studies Curriculum, and Mathematics Curriculum).

Developing specialized educational knowledge in Arabic language curricula and teaching them in line with global developments in this field to serve the Jordanian, Arab and international educational community.

3. Program Mission

Building qualified human resources in the field of Arabic language curricula and teaching them that are able to compete in the Jordanian, Arab and international labor market, which enhances the learning and teaching of the Arabic language by building language curricula according to the developments in this scientific field.

4. Program Objectives

The strategic goals and objectives of the program are as follows:

1.    Preparing and teaching Arabic language curricula pedagogical specialists who are able to exercise their roles with high efficiency.

2.    Transferring the scientific research in the program to the international to keep pace with the recent developments in the preparation of teachers and supervisors in the field of language curricula and its teaching.

3.    Keeping abreast of rapid developments and changes in the field of language curricula and teaching.

4.    Responding to the needs of the local, Arab and international community.

Strengthening partnership with educational institutions and departments that have programs corresponding to the program locally, regionally and internationally

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):

1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).

2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.

3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.

4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).

5. A personal photograph.
6.  A copy of the passport.
