​The program was established in 1978 under the title of Soil and Irrigation Master, and then the program name was changed to land, water and environment in 2003. Admission to the program is limited to Bachelor's degree graduates in land, water and environment or similar disciplines of agriculture and engineering.



This program focuses on the preparation of students to work as researchers and prepare them to work in the field of scientific research and completion of the study to obtain a doctorate. The topics of student research in this program include topics related to soil management and land use planning, irrigation scheduling, irrigation water management, GIS, remote sensing and environmental systems modelling.



The courses are taught by the academics from the department and school of agriculture where the study expands on what the students studied in the bachelor's degree and help them to carry out scientific research and conduct field and laboratory experiments. The graduates of the program may work in the research centres of different ministries, educational institutions and universities, and the private sector.

Upgrading and qualifying the graduates to participate in scientific research that aimed at solving water and environmental problems in Jordan.

1- Develop the scientific graduates' abilities to identify problems in any sector of land, water or the environment.



2- Identify the appropriate targets and methods for studying water and environmental problems.



3- Enable the student to adopt the correct practical methods in gathering information, and analyzing it to achieve the objectives of the study and devising appropriate recommendations.



4- Activate and increase scientific research at the department, college and university levels.



5- Provide scientific solutions to land, water and environment problems as a acommunity service.

2. Admissions that can be accepted:

- First priority: Bachelor of Plant Production

- Second priority: Bachelor of Horticulture and Crop science

- Third priority: Bachelor in any branch of agriculture

Third: The materials of this plan consists of (33) credit hours

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):


1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).

2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.

3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.

4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).

5. A personal photograph.

6.  A copy of the passport.
