Background to the program and subject area:


A three-year master program that encompasses both a theoretical and a clinical part. Students are required to complete a thesis at the end of the program. Upon successful completion of the program students are eligible to sit for the Jordanian Medical council exam in Orthodontics as well as the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland M-Orth RCSI exam.

First: General Rules and Conditions:


This plan conforms to the regulations of the general framework of the programs of graduate studies at the University of Jordan.


Areas of specialty for admission to this program:


  Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Doctor of Dental Science (DDS)


Second:  Special Conditions


Applicants should have at least 2year post-qualification experience in general dentistry that might include an Internship Training Program.


Applicants must provide evidence of having passed the FULL MFDS Examination administered by one on the Royal Colleges in the United Kingdom and Ireland or an equivalent examination (NBDE).


Applicants should have obtained a license to practice Dentistry in Jordan granted by the Ministry of Health (permanent license or training license for Non –Jordanians).


Applicants must provide evidence of having passed the English language exam with the required grade, as shown below or other equivalent accredited exams from centers accredited by the University of Jordan, and in accordance with the General Policy of Students' Admission.

Please note that applicants who have graduated from an English-speaking country are exempt

from the English exam requirement.

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):




1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).



2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.



3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.



4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).



5. A personal photograph.



6.  A copy of the passport.
