Background to the program and subject area: 

The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences, established as part of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences in 2003, is among the first University departments in Jordan to offer academic degrees in Hearing and Speech Sciences.
Proir to the Faculty initiaition the Masters program was part of the Linguistics (early ninties)  school which graduated many of our Faculty staff members.
Our master's program in Speech-Language Pathology is the only program in the Middle East. Students come to the program from all over the region. Upon leaving the University our graduates enter the clinical, teaching, and research fields competently.
  Vision statements of the program:

   We aspire to be an outstanding leader in educating, training and inspiring future speech-language pathologists to serve and advocate for individuals with communication disorders.

Mission statements of the program:

   The program in speech-language pathology prepares practitioners, researchers, and scholars to work with persons with communication difficulties at all ages, and to advance the understanding of communication processes, communication disorders, and speech and language sciences.

Admission Requirements

Graduates in the following fields may be admitted to the program according to the following priorities : Hearing and Speech Sciences or Hearing or Speech Sciences, Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences or ​Rehabilitation Sciences, Education Sciences or Psychology, Linguistics or Languages Sciences branches 

Special Conditions:
      1. The applicant should pass hearing and speech clinical examination conducted by the Department

Required Scores of English Language Tests

Please note that applicants who have graduated from an English-speaking country are exempt from the English exam requirement.

Required Documents:

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):


1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).

2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.

3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.

4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).

5. A personal photograph.

6.  A copy of the passport.
