Background to the program and subject area:

In collaboration with the Mechatronics Engineering Department, the two-year M.Sc. program in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AIR) was introduced in the 2022/2023 academic year to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in AI and Robotics. The program aims to produce experts who leverage these technologies for societal and business benefits and supply the public and private sectors with highly qualified specialists in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The program places emphasis on high-quality academic courses, that capitalize on advancing computer capabilities to equip students with the skills necessary for designing innovative, reliable, and sustainable technical solutions to contemporary global challenges. Intended learning outcomes encompass analyzing and discussing fundamental concepts in AIR, critical thinking and evaluation of tools and techniques, applying AIR methods in practical problem-solving, producing distinguished research work, demonstrating lifelong learning skills, and adhering to professional ethics.

The study plan requires 15 obligatory credit hours covering research methodology, two AI courses, and two robotic courses. Additionally, students select 9 credit hours from elective courses focusing on advanced AIR topics like Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, and Autonomous Mobile Robots. The program concludes with 9 credit hours dedicated to the thesis.

Graduates of the program are prepared for various career opportunities, including roles as AI and Robotics researchers, developers, and engineers. They can contribute to industries deploying intelligent and autonomous systems, work in research and development, or pursue academic positions. The program's holistic approach, covering both AI and Robotics, ensures graduates are well-rounded professionals capable of addressing diverse challenges in these rapidly evolving fields.

Admission Requirements

6.5+
First Priority: BSc in any of the Electrical Engineering specializations (Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Communications Engineering).

Second Priority: BSc in Engineering Specializations

Third Priority: BSc in AI, Intelligent Systems, and IT Specializations


Required Scores of English Language Tests

Please note that applicants who have graduated from an English-speaking country are exempt from the English exam requirement.

Required Documents:

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):


1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).

2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.

3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.

4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).

5. A personal photograph.

6.  A copy of the passport.
