Master's degree in Visual Arts, offered by the Department of Visual Arts, consists of 33 credit hours. This plan adheres to the general framework regulations for graduate programs at the University of Jordan. Eligible undergraduate degrees for this program, ranked by priority, include bachelor's degrees in any field of visual arts, fine arts, design, and applied arts.

The vision of the Department of Visual Arts, within the Faculty of Arts and Design, is to be a leader locally, regionally, and globally in preparing a generation of distinguished artists across various fields. The department strives to foster and nurture authentic creative formation by applying the latest standards of comprehensive quality systems and by utilizing the most modern scientific and technological tools in the teaching and learning process.

The Department of Visual Arts is committed to establishing the notion that art is the "mirror of civilization" and that creativity reflects the refined philosophy of the artist. This mission supports society by graduating creative individuals in various fields who possess objective knowledge and modern, applied technical skills, enabling them to compete efficiently in the labor market. The department provides a conducive environment where students receive comprehensive knowledge that respects heritage, keeps pace with modern developments, and encourages originality in thought, concept, and product through curricula that promote scientific research.

Please note that applicants who have graduated from an English-speaking country are exempt from the English exam requirement.

After checking your eligibility for the program, your electronic application at the next step must include the following documents compiled into a single PDF file (with a size of less than 6 MB):


1.  A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (high school or Tawjihi).

2.  A copy of the bachelor's degree certificate is required for master's students. For doctoral students, a copy of the master's degree certificate with a rating of at least 'Good' is required.

3.  Transcripts for all academic years of the bachelor's degree for master's students, and transcripts for all academic years of both the bachelor's and master's degree for doctoral students.

4. The grading system used by the student's university (for graduates of non-Jordanian universities).

5. A personal photograph.

6.  A copy of the passport.
