The science of transportation engineering is considered to be a core area in civil and infrastructure engineering and it is related to many of the daily life activities. It mainly focuses on engineering study of transportation systems, roadway geometric design, seaports, airports and railways. All the elements of the previous systems are designed according to the highest engineering standards taking into consideration the economic and scientific aspects of the design.
