The German Language Division is the first division in the European Languages Department, which offers a bachelor’s program in the German and English languages. This program was established in the academic year 1996/1997.
To obtain a bachelor’s degree in both German and English, the student must finish As is the case in all other majors in the College of Foreign Languages, 144 credit hours, as 60 percent of them are devoted to German language, literature and culture in addition to translation, while 40 percent are taught in English. All teachers of this division are German-speaking and the vast majority of them speak Arabic. And fluent English.
