To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.3 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Degree accepted: Masters, Masters; duration: 2 years

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible for the Ph.D. program (educational sciences - andragogy), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XX) of the Educational Regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;
  • hold a degree equivalent to a master's degree from the University of Montreal or attest to training deemed equivalent by the dean, on the recommendation of the department director;
  • in exceptional cases, hold a baccalaureate degree and, on the recommendation of the department chair, be authorized to enroll in a special doctoral program;
  • have obtained an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent in the 2nd cycle;
  • demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the French and English languages ​​as well as any other language, when this is essential to the program in which he wishes to register; the candidate may be asked to take a knowledge test of this language;
  • present the outline of a research project;
  • accept that a professor serves as his research director and guides him in the choice of his courses and in his research work;
  • have professional experience in adult education of two years or the equivalent (1,200 hours). This experience must be attested and described.
