The bachelor's program includes theoretical and practical philosophy. These include, for example, philosophy of language, philosophy of science, political philosophy, ethics and the history of philosophy. A compulsory part of the curriculum is a thorough introduction to logic and argumentation theory. In theoretical philosophy, a focus in epistemology, philosophy of science or philosophy of language must be chosen, in practical philosophy accordingly in ethics or political philosophy.
The students learn to deal critically with terms and basic problems of various disciplines and subject areas, to analyze concrete structures and abstract problems as well as to process interdisciplinary tasks in a methodically reflected manner. They also learn how to present facts and strategies for action clearly and to convey them concisely. With these skills, they are equipped to independently deal with complex issues.
