Since the 2015/16 winter semester, the master’s program “Applied and Molecular Biology of Plants” has been international and therefore more English-language Master's course "Molecular Plant Science" continued. The new course also focuses on dealing with and using molecular biological methods in biology, which is also repeatedly found in the social debate. In four semesters, graduates of the research- and application-oriented course learn about molecular biological, physiological and histological methods and procedures, which they apply independently in experiments. The focus is on correct scientific work in the sense of deriving, creating and testing a hypothesis. Above all, the students are taught the socio-economic context of molecular biological work.
