From the 2019/20 winter semester, an English-language master’s degree in physics will be offered. In addition, the German-language master’s degree in physics continues.
The English master's degree in physics deepens the basic knowledge acquired in the bachelor's degree and imparts specialist knowledge that is based on current research questions. The focus is on research methods, independent and responsible action as well as strategic planning of the procedure and the critical classification of scientific findings. The aim of the course is to enable you to carry out independent scientific work. In addition, the completion of the master's degree qualifies for admission to doctoral studies.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physics from a German or European university or
- Degree in another mathematical-physical bachelor's degree in which comparable academic achievements were achieved with the consecutive bachelor's degree in physics.
