- A first academic university degree from a German or internationally recognized foreign university in the subjects of German studies, German language and literature, German philology, history, art history or medieval studies
- or a minimum number of management points in one of the subjects mentioned (or designated differently, but with equivalent content). Exceptions are possible in individual cases.
