The more computers influence our lives, the more important it is to design human-computer interaction in such a way that people find it easy and natural. This results in a new research and professional field that brings together perspectives from computer science and psychology, but also from pedagogy, linguistics and design. Based on investigations into human communication and interaction with and through computers, IT systems are developed whose design is based on the requirements of the users.

The bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction has a strong interdisciplinary orientation. It combines theoretical basics from computer science and psychology with application-oriented topics from the areas of software development and multimedia systems. From the beginning of the course, areas of psychology that are important for the design and evaluation of user interfaces are included in the training.
