Understanding life down to the molecular processes - that is the central topic of the interdisciplinary master's program in Molecular Life Sciences. It includes basic research in biochemistry and molecular biology as well as the resulting applications of medical ('red') biochemistry and the 'green' biochemistry of plants. The aim of the course is to learn and apply the latest findings and methods of molecular biological, cell biological and biochemical research.
The students also acquire core skills in planning research projects and communicating the results obtained, so that they can later work in academic, non-university or industrial research. The course offers graduates the opportunity to do a doctorate in research projects.

Admission Requirements
- Degree in a consecutive bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences from the University of Hamburg or a comparable degree from a university or
- Degree in another bachelor’s degree in which comparable academic achievements in biochemistry/molecular biology were achieved with the consecutive bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences.
- In special cases: If you have a Bachelor's degree that is well above average and you can prove that you have also completed special biochemistry-related achievements (e.g. relevant internships, professional experience or work results), admission (possibly with individual conditions) is also possible if the above-mentioned requirements are not met.
Scholarships
Selecting the right scholarship can be a daunting process. With countless options available, students often find themselves overwhelmed and confused. The decision can be especially stressful for those facing financial constraints or pursuing specific academic or career goals.
