The four-semester master’s degree in cosmetics science includes content from cosmetics science, medicine, pharmacy and chemistry. During the course of study, among other things, a scientific examination of cosmetic products and in-vivo proof of effectiveness takes place. The content of the course builds on previous knowledge of the bachelor's courses in cosmetics science (as part of the B. Sc. teaching at vocational schools) or chemistry. In the first two semesters, there is therefore an adjustment phase to catch up on missing basics. In addition to the compulsory courses, the students can design up to a third of the course themselves in the compulsory and elective areas. The elective area includes offers from cosmetic science, various areas of chemistry, of biology and parts of business administration. An essential part of the course is the elective internship, in which the students are given the opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
