The applicant for the Doctorate in Fiscal Studies must have a master's degree in areas related to fiscal studies and demonstrate reading and understanding of the English language. Preferably, having worked professionally, professionally or academically, in areas related to tax studies. He/she must also have skills for intensive learning in a demanding environment and teamwork, in addition to being able to prepare academic and analytical documents in short deadlines.

Admission Requirements

  • Accredit the reading-comprehension of the English language.
  • Carry out and pass the propaedeutic course when the Academic Board deems it necessary.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from academics, researchers or professors in the area.
  • Submit research protocol.
  • Participate in an interview with the members of the Academic Board of the doctorate.
  • Submit a copy of any publication (articles, essays, technical or research reports) in which you have participated to demonstrate your academic experience in tax studies. If you do not have any publication, submit a copy of your master's thesis.
  • Those determined by the Academic Board, in accordance with the powers granted by the General Postgraduate Regulations of the University of Guadalajara and the regulations and guidelines of the corresponding center and university.
