General objective. To train human resources with a high academic and social level for research and intervention aimed at contributing to peace management and violence prevention in Mexico and Latin America, favoring the generation of original and innovative studies based on a multidisciplinary perspective, as well as the development and implementation of programs and public policies that comprehensively address the social problems that exist in this field of knowledge.
Specific objectives
- To provide a solid theoretical and methodological foundation that allows students to carry out a rigorous analysis, which contributes to interpreting and making theoretical-practical proposals to address specific problems of violence that arise in the country and the Ibero-American nations.
- To contribute original, multidisciplinary and relevant research to the analysis of social problems.
- To generate comprehensive intervention proposals related to peace management and violence prevention, through public policies and social and government programs that address, with a solid and relevant knowledge base, the different social contexts and fields in which the processes of violence are reproduced.

Admission Requirements
- Have a degree certificate or master's degree issued by an official Higher Education Institution.
- Master's degree certificate with an average grade equal to or greater than 80 (eighty) or its equivalent.
- Demonstrate the applicant's knowledge of the English language through an official document, accrediting at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or its equivalent.
- Present a research protocol that is linked to one of the Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge of the educational program.
- Submit a letter of intent explaining your interest in studying the doctoral program and the research area(s) you are interested in.
- CENEVAL/EXANI III Knowledge Exam.
- Conduct an interview with members of the Academic Board or with whomever this collegiate body designates.
- Two letters of recommendation from academics and/or researchers.
- Updated curriculum vitae highlighting your research work or projects in which you have participated.
- Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
