General Objective:

To train highly qualified professionals, with a multidisciplinary and intercultural approach, who are capable of analyzing, designing and implementing effective strategies for peace management and violence prevention in diverse social and political contexts, thus contributing to the construction of more just, peaceful and inclusive societies.

Specific Objectives:

Analyze and understand the dynamics of conflicts and violence: Students will acquire a deep theoretical and methodological knowledge to analyze the causes and consequences of conflicts and violence, as well as the different ways in which these phenomena affect communities and societies in general. Emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary approaches that allow a comprehensive understanding of the problems addressed.
Develop strategies for peace management and violence prevention: Students will learn to design and propose innovative strategies for conflict management and violence prevention, considering both local and global dimensions. Topics such as mediation, peaceful dispute resolution, conflict transformation, peace building and promotion of social justice will be addressed, with a focus on cultural diversity and gender equality.
