The Master's in Political Science is a research-focused graduate program designed to train young researchers capable of analyzing, understanding, and interpreting the exercise of power in diverse scenarios, by multiple actors, and in different political contexts. The program offers theoretical and methodological training in political science, as well as four areas of specialization:
The Master's Program in Political Science belongs to the National Quality Graduate Programs (PNPC) of CONACyT, so students have the possibility of receiving a living stipend to dedicate themselves full-time to the program. Our core faculty consists of twenty-nine full-time research professors, almost all of whom are members of the National System of Researchers (SNI).

- Political Culture, Civil Society, Social Movements and Citizenship.
- Government and Public Policy.
- Institutions, Behavior and Political Communication.
- International Politics, Geopolitics and Security

- It offers a research-centered training model and an individualized tutoring system. This model aims to connect students to ongoing research projects within their respective fields of study.

Admission Requirements
In addition to those established by current regulations, they are:
- A bachelor's degree or graduation certificate in political science, social sciences or related disciplines, issued by a recognized higher education institution.
- Statement of reasons for pursuing the master's program.
- Proposal of a research topic in the area of political science that demonstrates coherence between the student's topic of interest and the line of knowledge generation and application to which they aspire.
- Letter of commitment to full-time availability to complete the program.
- To prove a minimum average of 80 (eighty), with an original certificate or equivalent document, from previous studies, as the case may be.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language: English, French or German: with the score determined by the Academic Board.
- Accredit the CENEVAL EXANI III exam, with the requirements approved by the Academic Board.
- Obtain a favorable result in the curriculum assessment interview.
