Lines of knowledge generation and application in Information Design 
It focuses on generating knowledge through the application of design principles that build graphic discourses for data visualization, information architecture and/or interface design or other means based on the systematization and analysis of data. 
 
Lines of knowledge generation and application in digital communication
It focuses on  knowledge generation through communication management, interactive design, and emotional marketing, benefiting cyberculture.
 
General objective.  It will offer  cognitive training that allows the student of this postgraduate program to develop capacities, skills, aptitudes, attitudes and values ​​for carrying out research based on the different phases for the generation of a digital information and communication design project that trains high-quality specialists in these areas, considering characteristics of information design fundamentals, applied typography, elements for the creation of graphic discourse, and user-centered design.
 
Specific objectives
  • You will learn cognitive tools focused on information design, elements for creating graphic discourse, characteristics of user-centered design, fundamentals of information design, applied typography, as well as the different phases for conducting research. In the information design research track, you will learn specialized aspects of information architecture, elements for data visualization, data systematization and analysis, and interface design. In the digital communication research track, you will address specialized aspects of interaction design, cyberculture, fundamentals for communication management, and emotional marketing.
  • It will develop skills focused on generating content appropriate for the communication of public or private organizations with a panoramic vision for content construction, as well as capabilities to analyze, visualize and design information, as well as research focused on information design processes and implementation of digital communication;
  • It will strengthen attitudes focused on generating collaborative synergies, respect for diversity and multiculturalism, social responsibility, sustainability and civic engagement, as well as values ​​to promote respect for copyright, confidentiality and data handling for the generation of communications, and
  • It will develop skills for the use of information and communication technology from a panoramic view that is congruent with the environment, and that remains user-centered.

Admission Requirements

In addition to those stipulated by current university regulations, the following are required:


  • Copy of the Bachelor's Degree or original Graduation Certificate and proof of completion of social service for Bachelor's degrees in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication Sciences, Advertising, Digital Art and any related career that is considered by the Academic Board.
  • Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as applicable.
  • Submit proof of English reading comprehension, level B1 or equivalent, with an issue date no older than 5 months.
  • Submit and pass the knowledge admission exam endorsed by the Academic Board.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from academics and researchers.
  • Submit a preliminary research project that integrates into one of the Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge of the Master's program.
  • Participate in an interview with the members of the Academic Board and professors of the Basic Academic Core of the Master's Program.
  • Submit a letter explaining your academic, professional, and personal reasons for pursuing the Master's degree.
  • Those additional ones established by the call for applications.
