The general objective of the PhD in Territorial Socioeconomic Development is to train high-level human resources with a critical-reflective sense to carry out scientific research; with the ability to generate current and useful knowledge according to the context and territory identified from the local, regional and national level; with skills to identify, analyze and interrelate social, economic and environmental factors by delimiting an object of study.

Specific objectives:
Develop and put into practice the critical-reflective sense as a fundamental tool for the analysis of factors that limit, slow down or promote territorial development and/or the economic reactivation of the territory.
Implement methodological tools and multi, inter and transdisciplinary theoretical approaches to generate knowledge about specific experiences that contribute to territorial development and/or the reactivation of the territory.
Generate scientifically based and argued knowledge from the field of social and economic-administrative sciences so that it can be used in the orientation of public policies for local, regional and national territorial development.
