Admission Requirements
- Title or examination record of the bachelor's degree in disciplines of the area of Social Sciences or Humanities.
- Bachelor 's degree certificate with grades and a minimum average of 80.
- Proof of English reading comprehension at level B1 or equivalent issued by an official institution or TOEFL score. Applicants without this proof may request an exam at the Modern Languages Department of CUCSH.
- Availability to dedicate full time to the program and a letter of commitment to exclusive dedication to postgraduate studies.
- Experience in teaching at the upper secondary or higher level preferred.
- Desirable experience in research in the field of social sciences .
- Curriculum vitae with supporting documentation (research experience includes having completed a bachelor's thesis, having been a research assistant, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at national orinternational conferences).
- Two academic letters of recommendation in the program's format. The letters must be sent by the recommender before the application deadline to the following email address: mtria.comunicació[email protected]
- Statement of reasons (3 to 5 pages) for pursuing this postgraduate degree, specifying research interests, expectations of the master's program, future professional projects, and experience in teaching and social research.
- Research proposal with a length of 10 to 15 pages .
- CENEVAL knowledge exam . Only those who, in the opinion of the academic board, obtain an optimal score on this exam will proceed to the interview phase.
- Interview with two members of the Master's Academic Board, once the candidates have been shortlisted.
- Applicants must submit their undergraduate thesis or an academic essay, published or unpublished, that, in the applicant's judgment, demonstrates a minimum level of experience in reflecting on communication, social, or cultural phenomena. Submitting work by another author or plagiarism will be penalized.
- Comply with the admission procedures established by the University of Guadalajara
- *Applicants accepted into the postgraduate program are not guaranteed access to a living stipend; its allocation will be subject to availability and the criteria established by CONAHCYT in the respective calls for applications.*
