The Master's program in Health Psychology has its antecedents in the Master's Degree in Psychology with Orientations, which had a terminal option in Health Psychology, from this program 3 generations graduated 2006-2008, 2008-2010 and 2010 2012 respectively, having 32 students graduated from these generations. In 2012, the master's program in Psychology with an orientation in Health Psychology disappeared and the curriculum of the Master's Degree in Health Psychology was approved, which obtained recognition that same year as a Program recognized for its quality in CONACYT..
Currently the program has two generations of students graduated from the calendar 2013-2015 and 2015 to 2017 with a total of 32 graduates and a terminal efficiency of 90.4% and with two active generations 2017-2019 and 2018-2020 having 26 active students, being a program that is at the Development level at the PNPC. Our program has had links at a national and international level with institutions, organizations and associations linked to addressing fields of application of health psychology.

Admission Requirements

  • Have a bachelor's degree or graduation certificate. The main degree must be in the area of ​​Psychology. For graduates of related careers, they may be accepted by agreement of the Master's Academic Board.
  • Accredit a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or document that is comparable to the previous studies.
  • Pass preparatory course.
  • Submit a letter explaining reasons, to attend the program.
  • Submit and pass the English language reading comprehension test.
  • Pass knowledge test proposed by the Master's Coordinator.
  • Basic computer skills and internet browsing.
  • Submit a preliminary project of work on which your degree work will deal that is relevant to the LGAC (lines of generation and application of knowledge) of the Master's in Health Psychology.
  • Approve the other requirements published in the respective call.
