The specific objectives of the Bachelor of Visual Arts for Photographic Expression are the following:
- To increase and consolidate the academic and humanistic structure of the University of Guadalajara;
- To contribute to strengthening the production of visual arts in the region;
- Integrate learning environments conducive to the development of multidisciplinary projects;
- To encourage university students to participate in creative processes, incorporating new paradigms of artistic language;
- Promote the increase of their personal skills for professional development in the plastic arts or in photography.
The specific objectives of the Bachelor of Visual Arts for Photographic Expression are the following:
- To train creative photographers who use innovative, high-quality languages and techniques in their professional work;
- To strengthen students' creative, analytical, leadership, and motivational skills for the production of their photographic projects;
- To transmit to future graduates a broad humanistic sense, fostering a high level of personal, socio-cultural development;
- To promote in students the willingness and ability for multidisciplinary work in the production of cultural goods;
- To equip the student with traditional and contemporary techniques and tools for the professional practice of quality photography;
- To prepare ethical professionals, capable of becoming shapers of the cultural imaginary of the society with which they are strongly linked;
- To foster in its graduates skills that allow them to be reflective creators and managers and critical informants of their reality;
- To train professionals who capture reality, transforming it into significant artistic and cultural products that envision it.

Students in the degree program possess the aptitudes and attitudes as well as the skills and cognitive abilities for the creation, analysis, leadership and motivation for the production of photographic projects.

In addition to the general requirements for the admission process, you must comply with the following:
Artistic Diagnostic Assessment (ADA)
1. First stage: Creativity, expressiveness, and artistic skills
are assessed through the creation of free-form works with specific instructions. General artistic perception and culture are also evaluated.
2. Second stage:
If you pass the first phase, you will have an interview with academics and a review of your Artistic Portfolio.
Before the EVDA you must:
Obtain your Applicant Application and the Instructions for First-Time Entry Procedures.
Prepare and submit the required documents to the Coordination of Bachelor's Degrees in Visual Arts (Sta. María de Gracia Headquarters, Belén #120, Centro).
