The Specialty and Master's program in Sustainable Animal Production offered by the Los Altos University Center of the University of Guadalajara lasts four semesters (two corresponding to the Specialty and two more to opt for the Master's degree) and has the following:
Goals:
  • Increase training opportunities for Professionals in a Specialized manner in the Poultry or Pork or Livestock areas (meat or milk) to increase the quality of their services and improve the current productive indicators of the region, the state and the country.
  • Promote the training of Professionals with an academic degree (Specialty and/or Master's Degree) in the areas: Poultry or Pork or Large Livestock in order to achieve greater and better productive quality and at the same time, promote applied research, the development of technologies and your transfer.
  • Train specialist researchers capable of generating strategies for local or regional development programs that integrate protection measures and valorization of livestock wealth.
  • Increase the quality of research at the Los Altos University Center, contributing to the formation and consolidation of academic bodies with inter-institutional, state, national and foreign relations, while achieving a greater number of academics to the National System of Researchers.
  • Promote the linking of academics and students in the needs of the livestock business sector in order to solve the specific problem.
  • Promote the mobility of academics through networks of researchers.
