General objective. To train high-level human resources focused on innovative research, teaching in intercultural contexts, and the generation of sustainable intervention programs at the regional, national, and international levels within the different areas of anthropology from a perspective of inclusion and unrestricted respect for human rights.
Specific objectives
- To train human resources focused on innovative research, teaching in intercultural contexts and the generation of intervention programs from a sustainability perspective within the different areas of anthropology.
- To create a training context that promotes the integration of different areas of anthropology and their close link with field research in urban and rural contexts.
- To provide students with the tools to address different sociocultural problems at the regional, national and international levels, from the perspective and with the particular experience that has shaped the Mexican anthropological tradition.
- To analyze the theoretical and methodological experience of specialists in different scientific and humanistic disciplines, with the aim of relating it to the different areas of anthropology.
- To stimulate in students the ability to generate original research that contributes to the solution of social problems.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or graduation certificate and proof of completion of social service.
- Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document.
- Demonstrate a minimum level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in English or its equivalent.
- The non-Spanish native speaker candidate, in addition to the above requirement, must present the certification of the Spanish language granted by the corresponding university body.
- Submit a preliminary research proposal.
- Pass the preparatory course.
- Conduct an interview with the Postgraduate Academic Board (foreign applicants may conduct it virtually).
- Obtain a minimum of 900 points on the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination of the National Center for Higher Education Evaluation (CENEVAL, EXANI III).
- Submit a letter of intent explaining your reasons for enrolling in the program.
- Register in SIIAU and pay the corresponding fees.
- Complete the application process within the established timeframes.
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
