The Master's Degree in Physical Activity and Lifestyle aims to develop professionals who go from theory to practice with a national and international presence that respond with actions to current problems such as: 1) physical activity in health and disease, in the line of life, community physical activity, alternative physical activities and policies on physical activity in the clinic and the community; 2) in the field of sports medicine where adapted sports, injuries and sports rehabilitation and sports in older adults are addressed and 3) the ecological dimension of lifestyle where physical activity plays an important role in their biopsychosocial environment, the social and socioemotional benefits.

The professional that emerges from this postgraduate course will have the essential elements to address the aspects of physical activity and lifestyle in the fields of:

  • Promotion: Understood as promotion actions in healthy lifestyles are the development of personal aptitudes for health, favoring favorable environments, reinforcing community action, where physical activity forms part and promoting healthy public policies.
  • Prevention: As actions or decisions through physical activity and healthy lifestyles to prevent the development of chronic non-communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancers and degenerative musculoskeletal diseases, among others.
  • Management: Establishing exercise as therapeutic and rehabilitative in the different existing diseases.

  • Have a bachelor's degree issued by the University of Guadalajara or by a university of recognized prestige in the fields of social economic health related to lifestyle.
  • Have accredited the bachelor's degree with a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or document that is comparable to the previous studies, as the case may be.
  • Take the national postgraduate entrance exam (EXANI III).
  • Proof of reading-comprehension of English level B1 according to the common European framework (MRCE).
  • Submit resume and two letters of recommendation.
  • Submit a letter explaining reasons, to attend the program.
  • Interview with the Coordinator or with a member of the Academic Board of the educational program.
  • Pass the preparatory course.
  • Foreigners whose mother tongue is not Spanish, must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of Spanish, presenting a certificate issued by the educational center, for foreigners or by a recognized institution.
  • Have the acceptance of a professor of the educational program, accredited as a tutor who is responsible for their academic supervision.
  • Commit to dedicate the establishment time, for their training.
  • Register in SIIAU and cover the corresponding fees.
  • Those additional that are established in the call.
