The Master of Science in Natural Resources Management is a research-oriented program with a school-based modality, recognized by the National Postgraduate System (SNP) of CONAHCYT and is part of the Common Higher Education Space (ECOES).
Our master's degree is offered by the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management (DERN) of the  University of Guadalajara  in the city of Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, Mexico.
The duration of this academic program is four semesters (two years). The courses are offered in a modular way and in the morning hours from Monday to Friday. The modality for obtaining the master's degree is the presentation and defense of a thesis resulting from an original research work.
Admission is annual and the start of classes is in August. The cost of tuition is 2.25  Measurement and Update Units (UMA) per semester. 
Applicants who are accepted to the postgraduate program are not guaranteed access to a maintenance scholarship; the assignment will be subject to availability and the criteria established by CONAHCYT in the respective calls.

  • Letter of explanation of reasons to enter the postgraduate course.
  • Bachelor's degree or degree certificate.
  • Certificate of undergraduate studies that accredits a minimum general average of 80/100.
  • Curriculum vitae with copies of your supporting documents.
  • Selection exam.
  • Accreditation of Level B1 of English in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) with seniority not exceeding one year issued by an institution with official recognition.
  • A letter of recommendation issued by an academic or researcher of recognized prestige in areas related to the master's program.
  • Interview with the Postgraduate Academic Board.
  • The other requirements published in the respective call, defined by the Academic Board.
