This course aims to explore the intersections of cinema and the city, understanding this medium as a tool for analyzing urban phenomena and the representation of architecture from diverse perspectives. Throughout film history, it's possible to identify that each historical period has produced films that present either an idealized vision of a city model or, conversely, a critical perspective of it.

The course reviews emblematic films where in some cases the city simply functions as a setting for the actions of the story, and in others, it is noted that the city functions almost as a character, even in the stories in which the city is perceived as fragmented and unsuitable for habitation.

Aimed at the general public and UDG students:
  • With a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A love of film.
  • Basic knowledge of architecture and urban planning.
  • Concerns about the investigation.
This course can be validated for the following CUAAD undergraduate degrees:
  1. Selected topic:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (ARQ)

       2. Comprehensive training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Art and Interactive Technologies (DATI)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and Decoration (DIA)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design (DCG)
