The postgraduate academic program presented here leads to a Master's degree in German as a Foreign Language: Intercultural Studies of German Language, Literature, and Culture. It is a joint program between the University of Guadalajara and the University of Leipzig, Germany, making it an international and interinstitutional program. This Master's program is designed for Spanish-speaking students with excellent German skills and German-speaking students, primarily graduates of programs in philology, linguistics, literature, translation, and education.
 
The postgraduate program belongs to the National Program of Quality Postgraduate Studies (PNPC) of CONACYT, which allows it to grant scholarships to its students during the four semesters of the study program:

Admission Requirements

The program has  two types of selection criteria: 


1) those required by the University of Guadalajara for any postgraduate program, and


2) those established by the MIDF's own assessment. Regarding the former, following the approval of the UdeG's General Postgraduate Regulations in June 2004, applicants must meet the following requirements.
