Specific objectives 

The specific objectives of the Doctorate in Electronic and Computer Science with a focus on: Electronic and Optoelectronic Design, Computational Mathematics, Automatic Control and Intelligent Systems, and Electric Power Systems are:
  • To induce the search and acquisition of theoretical and methodological elements that allow for deepening and generating new knowledge in the chosen orientation and lines of research;
  • Develop the capacity for critical and reflective thinking that leads to the planning and development of original research projects with social relevance;
  • To train social agents of change, with the capacity to generate human resources for research;
  • To train for the management and handling of financial resources for research; and
  • Training for the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Admission Requirements

  • The master's degree or, if applicable, the degree examination record.
  • Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as applicable.
  • To have a defense of a research project proposal approved before an admissions committee, endorsed by a professor recognized by the Academic Board, who will agree  to serve as Thesis Director.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the English language at least at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​or its equivalent.
  • Letter of intent explaining the reasons for taking the program.
  • Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications.
