The general objective of the Master's Degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution is to train human resources with analytical and interpretive skills to address and resolve public and private conflicts and their subsequent peaceful resolution, based on values grounded in social justice, law, and legality.
Specific objectives
- To deepen knowledge of the methods, techniques and tools of negotiation and other alternative mechanisms for conflict resolution and a culture of peace.
- Identify, manage and intervene in public and private conflicts in a peaceful manner

Admission Requirements
- A simple copy of the Bachelor's degree or graduation certificate and proof of completion of social service, in the area of social sciences and humanities, economic administration or any area related to conflict resolution mechanisms.
- Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as applicable.
- Have a Unique Population Registry Code (CURP). In the case of foreigners, it must be valid.
- Demonstrate a minimum level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), preferably in English or its equivalent.
- Interview with two members of the Academic Board in order to learn about the candidate's interest and possibilities for completing the program.
- Pass the National Postgraduate Entrance Exam (EXANI-III) administered by CENEVAL, with a score that will be determined by the Academic Board of the program, or another equivalent score at the discretion of the Academic Board.
- Two letters of recommendation given by professors or professionals who know the applicant's career path.
- Submit a preliminary research proposal related to one of the postgraduate program's themes.
- Pass the preparatory course.
- Submit a letter of intent explaining the reasons why you intend to enter the program.
- In the case of foreign applicants whose native language is other than Spanish, they must present proof of proficiency in this language.
- Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications.
Applicants who are graduates and/or have received a degree from the University of Guadalajara are exempt from submitting a simple copy or original of the requirements established in sections a) and b) of this resolution, since the school archive already contains the electronic information of the same.
For students with previous studies completed abroad, in addition to the above, the following is required:
The degree, certificates and birth certificate must be apostilled or the applicable procedure for countries not members of the Hague Convention and if they are in a language other than Spanish, accompany a translation by an accredited expert.

- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
