The Master of Science in Water and Energy Engineering aims to meet the demands of the productive, social, academic, and especially the scientific and technological sectors in the state of Jalisco, as well as in the rest of the states of Mexico. It will train highly qualified professionals who will participate in teaching and who will have the capacity to develop ideas that contribute to the generation and application of new knowledge.

Admission Requirements

  • Submit the degree certificate or diploma in an area related to the program such as (not exclusively): engineering in general, chemistry and/or mathematics, information systems engineering, computer science engineering, computer science, mathematics, chemical engineering, electronic engineering, renewable energy engineering and water science, etc.
  • Provide proof of a minimum average grade of eighty with an original certificate or a comparable document from previous studies.
  • Have an interest in developing in the area of ​​water and energy and demonstrate the ability to carry out original research work. 
  • Take and pass an English language reading comprehension exam, obtaining at least level B1 in the CEFR, or its equivalent of 460 points in the TOEFL.
  • Take and pass the CENEVAL EXANI III exam, according to the established dates. The Academic Board will determine the minimum score for each admission.
  • Submit a letter of intent explaining your reasons for enrolling in the program. 
  • Complete and pass the preparatory course.
  • Conduct interviews with evidentiary results before the Academic Board or with specialist doctors designated by the Board.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from researchers or professors who offer their services to higher education institutions.
  • Those additional ones established by the call for applications.
