The Master's Degree in Urban Mobility, Transport and Territory (MMUTT) is included in the National Registry of Postgraduate Programs of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT).
In a general approach to the problems of cities, increasingly emphasized in the area of urban mobility and transport, the need to conduct studies on their development, their creative possibilities, renewal of infrastructure, equipment, materials and technical capabilities, as well as the methods and technologies that can be relied upon in each of their variants, is highlighted.
The expansion and growth model of metropolitan areas in Mexico generates, among other conflicts, those directly related to the quality of life of its inhabitants: one of these is mobility and transportation. The urban phenomenon, with its inherent complexity, prioritizes urban mobility and transportation, which is also the subject of various social, economic, and environmental studies. Likewise, the complexity of mobility and transportation of people and goods in cities, as envisioned in 21st-century metropolitan urban scenarios, is a concern that falls to different sectors—governmental, academic, business, and social—operating amidst the challenges of exponential growth in the vehicle fleet and deficiencies in public transportation services.
The study of urban development, mobility, and sustainable transport allows us to address the multiple dynamics of transformation in urban-environmental spatial construction processes, while also shaping a new role for the agents involved in the public, private, and social production of cities within urban-territorial planning that promotes sustainable development. Therefore, the concern for training specialists in these areas becomes crucial, with the aim of proposing new teaching content at our university, in accordance with the various scenarios outlined above.

Admission Requirements
The requirements for admission to the Master's program in Urban Mobility, Transportation and Territory, in addition to those stipulated by university regulations, are as follows:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or graduation certificate in the following fields: geography, architecture, urban planning, engineering, economics, sociology, or environmental science. Applicants from other disciplines will be subject to the consideration of the program's Academic Board.
- Demonstrate a minimum average of 80 with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies*, as applicable;
- Submit proof of English reading comprehension (level B1 of the Common European Framework) and Spanish if the applicant is proficient in another native language;
- Mandatory attendance at the Disciplinary Studies Seminar (propaedeutic);
- Letter of acceptance from the Academic Board, based on the evaluation methods provided for in the student admission process;
- Statement of reasons why the applicant wishes to take the program;
- Full-time dedication, as required by CONACyT for postgraduate programs integrated within the National Program of Quality Postgraduate Studies.
- It will be considered an additional criterion for favorable evaluation (not a requirement) if the candidate has graduated with a successful defense of a bachelor's thesis in their previous program. In this case, the candidate must include a copy of their bachelor's thesis with all their application materials.
- Those additional ones established by the call for applications.
