General objective. To train professionals in psychology who can evaluate, design, and intervene with an ethical, theoretical, and methodological foundation in the various fields of application of psychology, such as social, educational, clinical, or health psychology, in order to provide adequate, timely, and quality care to current and emerging problems in the aforementioned fields.
Specific objectives. The objectives for the phase corresponding to the Master's Degree in Applied Psychology are:
- To provide students with training that allows them to compare the theoretical and methodological advances in the field of applied psychology.
- To foster the development in students of:
- Skills needed to design intervention proposals in the field of Psychology to address current problems.
- Skills and tools that allow the evaluation of different problems in the emerging fields and topics of psychology.
- Competencies for the development of projects and proposals for clinical, educational and social intervention with scientific and disciplinary foundations.
- To foster in students the responsibility, critical thinking and ethical capacity to carry out interventions individually and in groups in the field of psychology.

General objective. Specific objectives. The objectives for the phase corresponding to the Master's Degree in Applied Psychology are:
- To provide students with training that allows them to compare the theoretical and methodological advances in the field of applied psychology.
- To foster the development in students of:
- Skills needed to design intervention proposals in the field of Psychology to address current problems.
- Skills and tools that allow the evaluation of different problems in the emerging fields and topics of psychology.
- Competencies for the development of projects and proposals for clinical, educational and social intervention with scientific and disciplinary foundations.
- To foster in students the responsibility, critical thinking and ethical capacity to carry out interventions individually and in groups in the field of psychology.
Admission Requirements
- Simple copy of the Bachelor's degree or graduation certificate and proof of completion of social service in psychology or related fields.
- Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as applicable.
- Original birth certificate.
- Have a Unique Population Registry Code (CURP). In the case of foreigners, it must be valid.
- Demonstrate a minimum level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in English or its equivalent.
- Submit and pass the entrance exam determined by the Academic Board.
- Letter of intent explaining the reasons for taking the program.
- Interview with the Admissions Committee.
- In the case of foreign applicants, in addition to fulfilling the aforementioned institutional academic requirements, they must have immigration authorization and demonstrate financial solvency.
- Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications.
Applicants, graduates and/or degree holders of the University of Guadalajara are exempt from complying with the delivery of a simple copy or original of the requirements established in sections a), b) and c) of this resolution, since the school archive already has the electronic information of the same.
For students with previous studies completed abroad, in addition to the above, the following is required: the degree, certificates and birth certificate apostilled or with the procedure applicable to countries not members of the Hague Convention and if they are in a language other than Spanish, accompany a translation by an accredited expert.
