General objective:
The rigorous training of individuals who have cutting-edge tools in applied Optics and Photonics, specific to develop linked and competitive research, of relevance for the region and the country, but taking into account global trends.
Particular objectives:
a. Prepare individuals who have the elements that allow them to examine new knowledge and establish innovative solutions to problems in applied optics and photonics. b. Provide the tools for critical and reflective thinking that lead to the approach, development and participation in research and technological development projects with social relevance. c. Provide interdisciplinary foundations in intelligent computing, instrumentation, electronics and bioengineering to strengthen research, evaluation and analysis regarding problems associated with technological advances in optics and photonics. d. Train subjects who promote social development, who have high potential to contribute to the development of technological resources. and. e. Train for the dissemination and publication of scientific knowledge.
