The program is primarily research-oriented as its core and priority activity in training researchers in the area of brain-behavior-cognition relationships. Since its inception, the program has contributed to the development of a critical mass of outstanding scientific and academic personnel. The Graduate Program in Behavioral Science remained continuously on the Registry of Excellence from its creation until 2006, and subsequently joined the National Registry of Quality Graduate Programs in 2011 with a High-Level classification as a Consolidated Program.

GOALS

To contribute to the training of high-level human resources and to the development of lines of research and application of knowledge in the field of study of the brain-behavior-cognition relationship.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. To train original and competent researchers in the various areas of behavioral research, in the field of brain-behavior relationships.
  2. Strengthen the teaching and research staff of higher education institutions and research centers in the Western region of Mexico.
